Just bought this the other day. I'd been looking for more than ten years for a banknote from this town, Emporium, PA, and had not been able to find one. This bank issued $5 and $10 large sized notes only and according to a Heritage auction of a similar example there are 10 or fewer notes in all denominations known to exist for this bank, explaining my trouble finding one. Now if I could just find a $10 note to go with it! My wife's family is from this town which is why it's significant to my collecting goals.

Indeed, nice find. I want to start collecting from towns in PA where different family members are from, but I've run into the same problem you had Cole. Either I can't find them, or they're WAY out of my price range at the time.

Wow, congrats on such a great find. Good luck on finding a $10, too! I've been lucky enough to find notes from Ohio and Massachusetts towns where I used to live, but only one denomination per charter (so far).
