Hi folks! I have a type 2 Ike dollar, fine condition. I have seen a few on e-bay, but was wondering what you think we can get for it. Thanks a bunch!

Fine as in nice or fine as in the grading standards of F12 or so?

Here are some grainy cell phone pics. There is a small amount of back.jpg front.jpg green tarnish on the back, but the coin has very little wear. You can't really see the detail from the pic tho.

The pictures are very small. It does appear as if the coin has some rim dings though and I can see the green on the bottom left of the reverse and maybe a little on the bottom right of the obverse.

Doesn't seem to have a lot of eye appeal.

Here are some grain cell phone pics, but you can't see much detail. There is very little wear, so maybe x-fine. Images are all sharp, except for the planet earth, which has no detail on continents, and shows no Islands. It also turns out that it is a '72. Thanks again! ike-front.jpg Ike-back.jpg

OK. So your first pictures were of a 1971 with a mintmark.......So no Type 2 there.
Your second picture ALSO seems to show a mintmark, which means it's not a "P" or Philadelphia coin= Also not a Type 2.

Considering this, if there really is a type 2 Earth on the coin, it's silver with an "S" mint mark......circulated......and worth about $10 = melt value.

Thanks! After doing more research, I can see that you are right. I'm a total newbie at this, but learning a lot! I didn't know anything about coins until my friends father left him this huge collection, mostly loose and unsorted. There is much that I haven't gone thru yet, so will be asking many more questions for sure! There are proof sets that I haven't even looked at yet. I appreciate the help!!!!!
