1988 cent double earlobe?

I've been looking at so many coins lately, I'm afraid I might be seeing things. The earlobe looks abnormal to me.

This looks good. I'm tryimng to recall if this looks like the only one that was given a cherrypickers #FS-101

if yah can compare it to the other found. I think yours could be 2nd one found and this would be important because no others have been that i recall. I'll mention it on LCR and see what they say also . Snowman

 

I'm thinking it's a well placed hit or maybe a tint die chip. I can't see it as a DDO.

 

The double earlobe is 2006

 

The 1988Pand D is the the reverse of 1989

 

After doing some research, the usual years to find the double ear error are 1984 and 1997. Yours looks like it could be the 1997 version, the 84 ear lobe comes down way lower and you can see the separation.

 

The 1988 FS-101 looks nothing like this coin.
