    Thanks for the reply, I think it was a history teacher that told me 20 years ago that silver was more difficult to refine, and that the gold dinar was more expensive because it was much bigger, I did not bother to research what he said because we did not have internet access back then :D, this thread reminded me of his false claim, it is strange how the human memory work :hail:.

    Yeah, I have had some bad history teachers too. Sad, because they beat any love of history out of me while I was in school, it was only after I got out that I took up this passion for history again.
