I've noticed a serious drop off in the large oval FRNs in the lower denominations. Are you stashing any away? $5 and $10 get absolutely throttled in circulation and I am beginning to wonder how long before these retreat to collector hordes.
While I have noticed these notes (also referred to as "big head" notes) becoming less common, they probably won't start being saved just for the heck of it for quite some time. The $5's of this style are still very, very common. If I had to guess, I'd say the $10's and $20's of this style will start being socked away, long before the $5's.
