Yeah I wish I were an East Coaster this time of the year. :( It used to be held early December in the World Trade Center, but...... They had to move it to Jan because they couldn't find another spot big enough in Dec. I used to like taking a trip to the show, but early Jan Manhattan is not quite the same as Christmas season Manhattan.

Actually, originally it was in midtown Manhattan, on Park & about 48th street, in one of the hotels.

Yeah, I am sure you are right. I just remember going there in the late 90's.

I do like visiting Manhattan. Living there? I would not want to live in Minneapolis, let alone Manhattan. I like my space and cars too much. I don't think I could affor half an acre with a lake view in Manhattan. Its hard enough to afford it in a Minneapolis suburb.:(

BTW, NGC will have a booth there and will accept coins for grading at the home office.

What type of coins are there? I would love to add to my Swiss collection, but that is all 20th century. Will dealers have those types of coins?

They usually have all ancients and world coins covered, but of course they usually bring their better stuff to these shows, since its expensive to be there. I wouldn't try to plan on going through many $.25 pick bins there, but if you want nice coins you will probably be successful.

If I am wrong and the show is different now someone please correct me.

I'm planning on going, but I'm not sure if I want to buy a lot of coins yet.

I attended two years ago. Great show for "ancient" and "world" collectors. And the Waldorf Astoria is magnificent!

But me? I shall be at FUN. "Domestics" got's to find someplace to go..........:)
