Wife got me this and two boxes of cents. She says to me,"now find us some of those rare coins to help fund our trip to Disneyland." Who can argue with that?
This arrived yesterday from a rich relative. I felt like little Ralphie, from the movie A Christmas Story, when I opened it: Mine doesn't shoot BBs!
Ohhhh baby is this thing suhhhhh weeeeeeeeeeeet! Took it out yesterday to put some rounds through it. Tried some distance shots of 200 yards, right on the money. And no, I didn't shoot my eye out!
And what's up with the hair on the right side? Photography 101: Too many props can distract from a visually stunning coin.
I got a Royal Sovereign Coin Sorter and wrappers. Went through two boxes of cents a couple days later. A total of about 30-35 wheats and a bunch of Canadians.
For my numismatic photography, I aquired an Ultra high definition architectual monitor. It's 24" with 1920x1200 resolution, much higher than a high resolution TV. It's color gamut is 1.07 billion colors. (Not a mis-spelling, it is billion not million.) The detail is unbelievable!
I sent the wife and kids to her parents house for the week to visit starting the day after Christmas. I got a nice long peaceful quiet week, best present ever.
