Once again I call on the assistance of CT members. I have been keeping a close eye on an affordable yet stunning example of a mint state Indian Head. Between the three IC's below which one would you prefer, and why? Much appreciation. ~Jason
From the pics I love the first coin- it's original, nice color and sharp. I think that the second coin could look a lot better though because it appears the slab or whatever it is in in really scuffed. Underneath all of that, it looks like a beautiful coin.
All three are nice, I think the slabs on the 1909 and 1907 are too scuffed up to get clear pictures. All appear to be in EF condition or better though. The 1909 is likely the most valuable out of the bunch, well close with the '88 but with the lower mintage numbers, makes it more appealing to collectors.
i would get the first one but if the 2nd had better pictures i may have chosen it instead. deffinately not the 3rd, the toning doesnt appeal to me
Thanks again guys. I usually love some natural tone, but it doesn't hold a candle to the crisp and natural look of the top two. Thanks for taking a look.
Better pis of the 2nd coin might change my opinion but the current picture make it look like there are marks on the 09 that would bother me and that spot above the F concerns me. Luster is nice but if those marks are on the chin/cheak and between States and Of then the 1st coin hands down ~ for me at least.
Dates aside, I like #1 as well, all the features are in good shape and 'Liberty" is clear and clean. #2 would be my second choice.
