BTW, stevesgiftshop, you're doing a pretty good job of keeping this thread alive. It's getting to be one of the longer threads we've seen at Coin Talk. Not much more until it catches up with the roll searchers thread, but quite a ways to catch up to the interesting find in circulation thread. Anyway, just wanted to point out that there are tons of other topics here, most of which are more interesting than the midas gets kicked off the ebay forum thread. ;)

Stevesgiftshop, it is to your great credit that you are willing to continue to post in your own defense, both here and elsewhere. Your words are those of a thinking person, and you show great patience and tolerance, knowing that wherever you're posting, the popular opinion is against you. You seem to know quite a bit about the coin industry, as well.

I genuinely admire that in a person, regardless of anything else.

This is, however, comletely at odds with the fact that you are willingly selling, and defending, coins originating with a seller who was a known fraud, anathema to knowledgeable numismatists throughout the hobby, from long before you originally registered at Ebay.

How do you reconcile this? And, did you get my little tidbit of information at the other forum concerning the coin I asked you about?

Steve I dont know the 1st thing about slabing or slabed coins, my grading skills are zero, I have never and probably never will go and buy a graded coin LOL I have no axe to grind one way or the other in this matter ( I dont know enough about it)
OK all that said, from what I can gather Midas says SGS graded coins are crap and a rip off (Along with a number of other members) So my question to you as a person who sells them is (Drum Roll ) what is your opinion of the coins and how do you think they stack up against the coins graded by the big boys? would a SGS top grade coin get the same grading by another company ? or extreemly close to it. Or are they of a lesser quality?
We dont see that many graded coins over this side of the pond :)

Following this thread and the ones in the other forums (including ebay), I see that steves position is typical of other crooks and scammers. They sell crappy overpriced goods to unsuspecting buyers, then when people in the know admonish them and try to warn buyers, the ripoff artists start screaming lawsuit. The responses are always contradictory. "I don't make the stuff, I just sell it." "I sell lots of things, not just THIS stuff." "I've sold thousands and have very few complaints."
It's all deceptive and designed to cloud the real issue. If you're so innocent, Why did you try to impersonate Midas on ebay? That's a real lowlife there.
Every day I email people buying SGS coins and tell them to be careful and give them links to all the threads about SGS and link them to all the negative feedback of the sellers. Every person that responds and says, "Thank you, I had no idea.", just drives me harder.
So you can spew all the lies and deceit that you want, but we know the truth, and that will never change.

    Scam ?

A paramid scheme is where the guy at the top realizes the profits and the buyers of the product gets short changed. If the mails are being used to pull off such a scheme that is mail fraud. If a pubically traded company gets involved in such a matter, The securties and exchange commission likes to know about these things. If a scheme is being carried out over state lines and out of the country, the F.B.I. will looks into some matters. This would all have to be proved that a company looked the other way and did nothing to keep cutomers from being bilked of funds and or merchandise that is not consistant with ,as advertised. It might also fall under bait and switch. The Federal trade commission likes to see that the public who are not all knowing are treated fair. If such a company exists, they could have a problem. But big companies can buy really good lawyers. Is this a big company,do you have evidence ?If so put your tax dollars to work . Take a roll of quarters and make a call or two before you put both feet in the water.
I have little interest in things like this but I think Enron just got squeezed for lying and removing funds from shareholders pockets.

Firstly, I have no problem whatsoever with you supplying the link. The more that sees it the merrier :) Stock photos are supposed to be labeled as such or the description is supposed to state that it is a stock photo. The problem comes when the identical photo is being used by at least four sellers spread all over the country. They must be selling for aboncom as in some cases, they link right to his pictures.

I want to prove that they done even have the coins and that they are selling for abon as part of a pyramid scheme. That should get them booted from Ebay.

They probably even shill for each other which is another thing that should get them booted from Ebay. They shouldn't be getting away with this.

I read some where that ebay is on the block ! Yayoo and Microsoft are the suitors. Scandals at a delicate time like this are well, difficult to explain and maybe bring down a premium for the company.

I too demand a full explanation on this.

    >>YOU CANNOT SELL ITEMS WHEN YOU HAVE CUSTOMERS COMPLAINING OVER THE QUALITY OF IT<<

:loud: HOW DIFFICULT IS IT TO NOTICE THAT THE MAJORITY HERE HAVE ISSUES WITH *YOUR* PRODUCTS? :loud:

Why defend and promote a product when people are complaining over issues with it? And from the atmosphere from this topic, it does not look favorable at all to you. Like I typed either on, if you are a deal dealer - it doesn't matter if you sell the drugs or grow it. To me, YOU ARE EQUALLY AT FAULT. You are no different in promoting awful slabs that is intended to fraud and deceit the public over this.

Let's not start bull**** over it is the consumers' choice to buy whatever they want - the fact that the numismatic world condemns such slabs is because it is not anywhere near industry grading standard.

  12. FOR such a foolish demand, the reply is "Edited. Coarse language insults are not permitted on this forum."

For the accusations you make, Edited

  13. Oh, and so far as your statement "you cannot sell blah blah blas....Edited

    Yes, I can.

    Yes, I will.

Majority? Of what? Idiots who have nothing better to do than chew on my heels? Edited

    Look Steve,

The information I am finding out about the owner of SGS, abon/ abon ltd. etc. is fascinating reading. Some of it is really hot! I also had an easy time connecting another seller to aboncom in two delightful ways. One is that he is sharing pictures with aboncom, the same way that you do. Two he has a beautiful and obvious history of shill bidding for aboncom. I am absolutely positive that I can find more shills and I am soon going to prove a pyramid scheme. My valuable time is being used not to hound you but to help collectors who are getting screwed.

I enjoyed sending that report off to Ebay.

    Have Fun,
    Bill

Well so much for Steve having the ability to argue intelligently:mouth: :hail:
You know if I was involved in something like SGS I think I would keep my head down and out of site. It's just a hard thing for me to understand how someone can go through life just running a con job on anyone and everyone they can. The worst part is the people that have the power to stop it "e-bay" will not stop it , just because they want to collect there little 50 cent fee .I do realize that all of those thousands of sells do add up. But we're talking about a multi million dollar corporation here , if I was them I,d be worried about my own reputation. Seems to me they got alot to lose in people who visit there site

    Hi,
This is ,I think, a thread with great value. I would beg that all stay within the guidelines of the forums so that it can continue.

If stevesgiftshopp is the only one who resorts to unkind language, I would hope that only he be edited or removed and that the discussion can go on.

    Thanks,
    Bill

Actually, lipitor and other statins are quite safe. As far as aspartame goes, unless you have a problem digesting them, and you don't let it break down into diketopiperazine, it's quite safe. Clearly, you haven't studied pharmacy in college at all.

Actually some people, according to some studies, perhaps up to 5% or more of the USA population, do have problems with lipitor and other drugs with statins after long term use. I used drugs with statins for over 3 years until I had a reaction that cause me a big problem with my health. I can no longer use any medication with statins for the treatment of my cholesterol because of my reaction to the drugs with statins.

Clearly I did not need to studied pharmacy in college to know this ;)
