Was just going through a box of coins that i picked up over the summer at a estate sale, there where alot on wheats and lincolns in this box, i Pad 10.00 and so fare have found tonight alot of good coins and bu condition to add to my book, But just found these two 1964 double die reverse, 1st coin shows very strong doubling, 2nd coin has light doubling at first i thought machine doubling but under a closer look you can see the strikes, i have only looked at about 20 coins from this jar and it has been great so far. I stopped looking because i was so excited and had to post. I will post pics of 1st coin with strong doubling here and 2nd coin in reply post, thanks all for looking, 100_3479.jpg 100_3480.jpg 100_3481.jpg 100_3482.jpg 100_3484.jpg

Yep! The split serifs on the "T" & "S" are a dead giveaway. Nice find.

WHats the value and rarity because now I gotta check all of my copper cents. Also, is it only on the 1964 or can it be found on the 1964 D?

I was able to get some more pics of the doubling in E Pluribus,
I have checked on copper coins site and it does seem to match the first one listed, as for varityvista, im unable to tell what it may match up to as there are no pics when looking in vaity section unless im doing somthing wrong?? But i will try too see if i can narrow it down and i will post info for everyone 100_3497.jpg 100_3498.jpg 100_3499.jpg

Thankyou all for the postive feedback, A year ago i was scrambling looking at coins trying to figure what is a true error and what isnt, You have all helped in my learing of coins and errors, varitys ect, A year ago i would of skipped over this, but today i have now found a total of four so far from this jar, two with great doubling showing, and two with lite sherifs and small spread. Again Thankyou for your time and patience in helping explain and teach us. This is what make this site great, Frank ( new coinboy)
