Well another year has flown by fast & with that comes time to look at some of our numismatic highs & lows of 2011. What was your highs & lows? Mine: Highs My biggest surprise was getting my U.S. type set upgrade list of 15 shaved down to only 3, many purchases were right here from folks selling here on CT.:thumb: Acquiring many roman emperors I didnt think I would afford to acquire till a bit later but patience paid off on many of them. Finally acquiring my first greek silver coin, fairly cheaply, which will be posted in a few days in the World/Ancient forum. Trading some U.S. & Ancient coins I didnt have any love for anymore & getting ones I really wanted for just the cost of shipping. Making some really cool new e-friends in the coin world. Lows Losing out on some good deals on ebay and some e-stores just cause I was too cheap. Amount of $ I spent on coins this year when I look at receipts for the year. Passing of Clinker here on CT, R.I.P. bro!
My high was being able to acquire so many high quality coins for my collection at reasonable prices. My low was not being able to acquire gold and silver at mass because of my fear of paying $1900 an ounce. I also missed out at the mint's products. Overall great coin year. When/If gold goes below $1300/1400 I will have to stock up. I don't want to miss out ever again. Cheers to a great coin year and a better one next year!
