I have a 1961 silver penny. It has no right to be silver. It's not steel, it can't be picked up by a magnet. Does anyone know why this penny exsists? Was it maybe coated by someone?
Probably been plated by someone. A friend of mine made a bunch of 'gold' coins (dimes, quarters) when he got his plating stuff.
