...that the gap between the $50 and $100 bills was rather large, and that there should be a bill denomination in between them? Before I knew about the $500 bill and up, I always thought that we should have a $70 bill, just because of how big the gap in numbers is between the $50 and $100 bills (And on the coinage size, I believe that they mentioned an "unpopular 75 cent coin" before) But the question is, would a $70 bill make cents? I sure wouldn't want to see a bunch of odd denominations squeezed between a $200, $500, and $1,000 bill if they issued a $200, $500 and $1,000 bill again though, except, like with the $70 bill, maybe a $700 bill, but thats as far as I would go as far as odd denominations go.
Never thought about it but I really don't see a $70 bill making sense. It's a weird denomination and I don't think its necessary.
Yeah, it is a weird denomination, and I don't find it necessary either. And I would HATE to see a 75 cent coin when I'm having a hard enough time trying to get the 50 cent coin circulating. It was just a thought.
$70- 50, 20 $71- 50, 20, 1 $72- 50, 20, 1, 1 $73- 50, 20, 1, 1, 1 $74- 50, 20, 1, 1, 1, 1 $75- 50, 20, 5 $76- 50, 20, 5, 1 $77- 50, 20, 5, 1, 1 $78- 50, 20, 5, 1, 1, 1 $79- 50, 20, 5, 1, 1, 1, 1 (add $10 bill for 80s, extra $20 for 90s) If a $70 bill is created, then for any purchase from $70-$90 would need only 1 or 2 less bills (depending on how you pay for it). Useless in my opinion
Hey, come on. I already stated that the idea was "just a strange thought" Its not like I'm going to follow through and write to Congress or the Treasury telling them how much we "need" $70 bills (which is, NOT AT ALL. Like I said, it was just a thought I had ever since I was a kid)
I can only think of one unusual denomination. On 10 November 1985, 75 Kyat notes were introduced, the odd denomination possibly chosen because of dictator Ne Win's predilection for numerology; the 75 Kyat note was supposedly introduced to commemorate his 75th birthday. It was followed by the introduction of 15 and 35 Kyat notes on August 1, 1986.
When I was a kid, I thought by the time 2000 came around we would have transporters like in "The Fly" movie. Vehicles and planes would be obsolete.

When I first heard of the breakthrough in cloning, I had hoped by 2000, that they could create adult humans and intellegent human animal hybrid adults in glass capsules with adult programmed minds, like in scifi movie in cartoons. As a huge lover of foxes, I was really hoping to have her as a mate through genetic engineering : http://us-p.vclart.net/vcl/Artists/Doug-Winger/foxey2.gif
