I found this really nice 1967 dime. Can you help me grade this?????

I would really love your comments as to why you say what you say about it.

Nice circulation find! I'd call it a 65... Shot at a 66 if it weren't for the rim hit at 3 o' clock and a few scuffs on Roosevelt's cheek.

Also, looks like some serious die scratches on the reverse! Guess a die polisher was a bit peeved the day that coin was struck way back in '67!

That dime appears to be in really nice condition. How red and bright is the edge? Did you find it roll searching from a bank?

Yes, it's one of my roll finds from a bank. The edge is quite nice, can clearly see the red copper clad portion. Not the most super bright I've seen for uncirculated finds, but still up there.

On the reverse, I was thinking it was more of die deterioration marks, rather than die polishing. Am I wrong?

Added: I can also see a rim ding at about 6 o'clock, too.

Well, what I see right above "NUM" and between the torch and oak branch sure look like die-polishing scratches... Though, I'm no expert. :p

Yes, Brian, I am seeing that now. But the deterioration (?) is clear on the fields to the left of the olive branches, especially, and between that and the torch I think.

65 or 66. Definitely had some clash marks polished out on the reverse. Cool find.

Here's some new pics of the coin. Both from regular camera and dinolite one.

I updated my post with better pictures. I am open to learning how to grade a coin like this. I have noticed a couple/few small rim dings on the obverse as well as what looks to be small scratches or something on the cheek. Most of the coin is pretty good other than that. I have also showed views that show what I think is mid to late stage die, but would be glad to hear other opinions on this 'cause I know next to nothing about the differences in early, early to mid, mid, mid to late, and late stage dies.

I know it's not some fantastic coin with date or valuable, but I really would like to learn how to grade better, and I think this is a good coin to try it on.

64, imho. Can't tell if it's FT or not, but given the die state, I'd venture a guess that it is not.
