From everything I have looked at, it just doesn't get any better than this 1807 Draped Bust half, Graded MS-64. If I were a rich man, I would pick-up that half in a heartbeat. I'd like to hear from others what their favorite coin/coins are on Ebay. On a different note, are there any other coins that jump out at you that are under $ 1,000? Would love if you could share the link/pictures. (I didn't mean to include the pictures on the bottom on the page..) ~Jason
www.ebay.com/itm/150724252672 For less $100.00 You have this 1960 Large Date over Small date regrade it $250.00-350.00 Ngc or Pcgs coin.
Nice. I have no idea what that is. I have been reading through the red book, and keeping my eyes open for double dies, but anything beyond that beats me.
It will depend on your tastes on what is the nicest coin. That 1806 bust is a beauty. You can edit your post if you want to remove those photos. For less than a 1000 I could find a lot of nice coins on ebay - does not mean I would buy them. Here was one I was watching for a few weeks - http://www.ebay.com/itm/330645254061?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649.
This one is pretty amazing to me, though around my entire year's coin budget in one coin (so off limits!). http://www.ebay.com/itm/1887-LIBERTY-SEATED-10C-NGC-MS-68-/180718379602
Nice coin @ site but nothing under $1000.00. http://www.ebay.com/sch/rarecoinwholesalersca/m.html?item=180718379602&_trksid=p4340.l2562
Depends on your tastes for sure. I like this one: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/GREEK-ALEXAN...915?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e68c4d10b
http://stores.ebay.com/Hunting-for-Treazure-Coins?_trksid=p4340.l2563 A :thumb: good&honest seller & has just about any US coin type listed:kewl:
Only a paltry $15,000, a ancient gold of Nero, *drools*. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rome-Nero-5...ltDomain_0&hash=item3a628c11c0#ht_1715wt_1056
I will say that half is a beast, and definitely a dream. My preferred "long shot" coin would be an 1804 draped bust half cent crosslet 4 spiked chin in about MS65 full red. Talk about amazing, not even sure one would exist.
They usually go for $6,500-$7,500. See vcoins: http://www.vcoins.com/ancient/vilmar/store/pricelist.asp
So the ebay one is much nicer than thishttp://www.vcoins.com/ancient/vilmar/store/viewItem.asp?idProduct=10
Trying to get leads? Hahaha I sure do wish I had money to my name.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/1821-25c-PC...Individual&hash=item2c61bc9399#ht_1507wt_1270
I would contact the seller through vcoins and buy it from him directly and let him kill the ebay auction. I've done this with paper money sellers who list them on their site as well as ebay. You can get a substantial savings by buying direct.
