Does this Error penny hold any vaiue??

I'm thinking of picking it up. I think it looks pretty cool and would be my first. how much would you pay??

Does it posses a date? Dated errors like this command more $.

 

Judging from the provided pictures, I'd say there's no date.

I'd trade you an ugly penny for it. (I is not an error collector)

How much for shipping costs though? I wouldn't pay more than First Class stamp value to have that sent to me, something that low in value shouldn't require tracking or delivery confirmation, etc.

 

Yeah, I would go up to $5 if I wanted it. With a date, it would be worth more of course. But it's value as a conversation piece or something to add to the error binder would be worth that to me. And $5 isn't a lot to risk.

I understand a date would be important. I'm surprised to hear this type of thing doesn't hold more value though even without a date. this type of error getting past quality control would be really rare would it not?
