One of my newest collecting interests is a set of Half Dime Capped Bust (1829-1837) die marriages. The Logan/McCloskey book lists 120+ coins. Since this set is a "fun" set for me I'm accepting anything that's identifiable and not expensive. This results in a mix of raw coins in 2x2's and slabbed coins. Normally I use Eagle Certified Coin albums for slabbed coins. And raw coins in 2x2's are stored in an appropriately sized box. But now I have a set holdered both ways. Naturally I'd like to have them all in the same place so that they can be arranged by date and LM number. Unfortunately I don't know of any album that would reasonably accommodate both 2x2's and slabs (crack-outs are NOT an option). I'm looking for ideas about how to handle this. At the moment I can't come up with anything except two separate albums.
The last time I got some small holder anacs foam inserts they came with the center piece for me to pop them out. I am not sure if they still come that way. Either way that is a good suggestion. Have to think about that because I like airtites and have to work with this idea.
