I like a lot of the Canadian coins as well (my favorite is my avatar). My only complaint is that the RC Mint makes too many different coins!
Attention Npcion!!!!! Nothing makes a coin collectors day then to get a coin(s) that they really really like with out having to buy it themselves. My wife bought some coins for me on my birthday last year and each and everyone one where coins that would compliment my collection. Needless to say I was happy as a pig in mud when I open my gift from her. Of course I had gone to my coin dealer the day before and informed him that my wife would be in to pick out some coins for my birthday. I also picked out many coins for him to show her and choose from. The big surprise was that she bought all the coins I had picked out. God she must really love me.
Both of your avatar coins are very nice. The RC Mint does seem to issue a lot of coins. I thought their veterans issues were cool.
They mint for ALOT of different countries. And their designers and engravers put both the U.S. and Franklin Mints to shame. The Macau 1999 Commemorative 100 Patacas is another nice RCM coin with ships on it :thumb: That one is actually one of my favorites next to the 1964 Olympic Commem 1000 Yen I have. And by the recent "sold outs" and prices on the Macau ones, it would appear that they are starting to become hard to find. As for the Butterfly one....I would have to get one for my 20th Century Collection of the World first encil:

I agree that it is a beauty and you should get it for her NP, but by the same token MoS you should get NP one for his 20th Century Collection of the World set.That way both are happy and problem solved. Madspec
Welcome to the list. Perhaps you should employ some 'Mind Control' :rolling: :rolling: over NP and get him to act favorably for you. Unfortunately, my wife is very successfull at it
Ummmm...not real sure what to do with that, but I'm pretty sure you should get her the coin she wants NP...maybe even buy a couple extras. Oh, and welcome aboard to both of you!
I am more of a history coin collector type but I have to say some of those modern coins shown here are really something to be seen and to have.
I don't collect silver commemorative coins, although I like them. I have to agree that RC Mint is better at it than the US Mint. But when there are so many different types, it's difficult to know where to start or how to organize it assuming everything can't be purchased.
I am collecting that coin for the butterfly that on it not the silver content :whistle: encil: :bow: now bow to me my dear!
