Do You collect the Gold plated and toned? Doesn't it damage the value? If you do, Post 'em.

    Gold-plated and toned WHAT?

Coins that have been gold-plated are generally purchased by buyers who don't know that 1) gold plating destroys the numismatic value of the coin and 2) the value of the gold plating is very, very small.

Unless they intended to be made that way. I have some Conder tokens that were made struck on gold or silver plated planchets. Post strike plating is always or almost always worthless.

I have a gold plated '76 Ike, I keep it around because my dad acquired it but it's ugly. It stays tucked away, out of sight. ;)
