Looking around ebay and seeing all the 1909s vdb pennies how many could be fakes since we all know the low mintage of that coin.
The mintage might be low for the series, but they are not scarce at all. You can walk into any coin shop or coin show anywhere in the country and find multiple examples. But, I probably wouldn't buy one on Ebay. Guy
eBAY is loaded with fake SVDB's....don't even bother buying one there unless it's slabbed by one of the top three AND the seller is reputable. Also, like coleguy said, they are not scarce and it's easy to find one as long as you have $$$. This is such an important purchase you should only buy one you can see in hand. I refuse to internet buy expensive coins myself....I gotta see it with my own eyes before I drop major bucks.
