Is anyone else like this? I envy people who can look through a collection, and know all the key and semi key dates of coins. I always have to write the dates down and look in a book.
I do a pretty fair job with a series I am familiar with, but for other series, I'm just like yourself. Stick with coins for a while, and I'm sure you'll have it down eventually.
It takes time to know them. What I have trouble with, is how much they are worth, at the time you are selling or buying. Also, how to grade correctly, and to know the varieties too. But always buy the keys first, and the others will be easier later, to fill in the holes.:hail:
Yes, you do have the internet! When we came up, we did not have any. So, what will you do with out the net? I use gray matter. Everyone to his own.
Hmmmm - think you've got a problem ? Try remembering keys not only for US coins but for world coins too
