Found 5 silver coins that my father held onto for years - I remember these coins as a kid. He did not keep them in protective holders, just an old coin bank from the Bank of Seattle - one of those give-away ones from the 60's ANYWAY - I have no idea what these coins are called or what they might be worth. (Besides being called "silver dollars" of course...) :hail: Would appreciate your taking a look at them and giving me some guidance as to what they are, approximate value, etc. Front of 1923 coin http://www.readinesstoday.com/20111219_150938.jpg Front of 1922 coin http://www.readinesstoday.com/20111219_150944.jpg Front of 1921 coin http://www.readinesstoday.com/20111219_150952.jpg Front of 1886 coin http://www.readinesstoday.com/20111219_150958.jpg Front of 1879 coin http://www.readinesstoday.com/20111219_151004.jpg Back of 1923 coin http://www.readinesstoday.com/20111219_151034.jpg Back of 1922 coin http://www.readinesstoday.com/20111219_151039.jpg Back of 1921 coin http://www.readinesstoday.com/20111219_151045.jpg Back of 1886 coin http://www.readinesstoday.com/20111219_151051.jpg Back of 1879 coin http://www.readinesstoday.com/20111219_151059.jpg Many thanks!! The 1921 and previous years are called Morgan Dollars, the other two are called Peace Dollars, there's nothing extravagant about any of your coins so they're basically worth they're weight in silver. Which about now is $110, or $22 a piece.
If you take a picture of a white object against a green background with a typical camera, that's what you're going to get. The camera tries to do "automatic white balance", and all that green throws the whole image off in the direction of pink.
