Interesting Serial Numbers - Any of them worth anything?

Can someone tell me if any of these bills have any value over face? I know that some bills with odd, repeating, or low serial numbers can be worth more than face value, so I have been saving a few bills for a while now and I have no idea if the serial numbers add any value or not. They are all in average circulated condition.

Nothing noteworthy there.

You want to look for radars; repeaters; rotators (flippers); high numbers; low numbers. Then there are the errors- mismatched serial numbers; missing digits; dropped digits; missing printing; miscuts; etc..

Fancy numbers like yours look cool but not worth anything extra.

 

Umm. You missed the 2003A $1 he has. It's a radar.

 

the 1$ 2003a is a radar note # 18199181 that looks like a radar note to me but that was though the only one I seen merry xmas

 

Other than the radar they are spenders. Sometimes just ask yourself if YOU would pay extra for the note you have.

Condition is everything. Folds, creases, bumped corners, dirt, rips, etc. all detract from the value. If a $1 note is $100 in ChCu condition, the value could drop to $5 or $10 in poor condition.

Please post pics.... preferably scans of both sides of the notes.

 

Just my luck, the radar was the ONE note out of my pile that had some pen mark on it. Other than that it is in average circulated condition. Some minor folds, no tears.

 

Seriously..... right after I posted those pictures I started looking through my "unsearched" change and found another radar note. Maybe I can get your opinons on it??

 

This one isn't a radar. A radar reads the same forwards and backwards.

 

I thought that it could still be considered a radar because of the section that went "729927". My mistake. As you can tell I am new to paper money. At least it came close. What about value on the first note?

Radar note is read the same backwards and forwards.

 

A radar is a "reflection" of the first four digits of the serial number like the note below:



The first four digits bounce back like a radar pulse in the next four digits: 5590 0955

Some people call this type of serial number a "quad radar".

People get real creative with serial numbers, though. Some may call your note a "triple radar" (only three digits are reflected), "partial radar", or "mini radar". I've even seen someone describe this note as a "split radar":



I've seen two notes described as "mirror image radars":

 

At least I found a "partial radar" note! I have not been very lucky with ciculation finds lately.

 

Your Series 2003 A with a serial number of "K 1819 9181 F" is a radar and, if you really want to get creative, you could describe it as a "flipper radar". If you flip the serial number upside down, then its "1816 6181".
