Just curious what these are going for. It's a little corroded. Any opinions on grade? value? Thanks in advance for any opinions Daniel
probably a couple of bucks in that condition. still a nice coin though. Edit. upon looking at the date i noticed that. id say 25-35 dollars
This is one of the major dates in the series! More than a couple of dollars! I'd expect $30-40, more if it wasn't for the porosity and damage. Makes a heck of a filler
You assumed wrong. It's one of the key dates for the series. One on eBay that looks worse than mine sold north of $30 http://www.ebay.com/itm/1821-Large-...61?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item231720c595
I don't know key dates in early copper off of the top of my head, not like an 1877 IHC, 16-D dime, etc. I guess thats what you get when you ASS-U- ME ? I'm sure it is much rarer than an 1877 IHC or 14-d lincoln and very hard to find one, but this one is clearly cleaned in a harsh manner.
I am quite aware that it is harshly cleaned and has some corrosion hence why I posted it for a collector to give me a rough estimate on this rough coin. I was curious to see what one would pay for such a book filler. I think it is awesome that there is only 389,000 of them made and I bought one in a junk silver bag in a Wal-Mart parking lot in a small town. Even though it is a hunk o' junk I have higher odds of dying in an airplane accident than obtaining one of these. Crazy if you think about it huh?
