Here are a couple of interesting coins I recently acquirted. Take a guess on the denomination, type, and year. Have Fun Ben
BINGO on the smaller one, the only years they were minted was 1923 and 1924. The larger is a 2 LAT(I) Here is a picture. 1925 and 1926 were the only years for these as well. B
Wait, were there any 1 lats minted in 1923??? I don't think I have come across any that were minted in that year.
I think I will have to disagree - the Soviet references that I have does not mention any 1923 Latvian 1 lati unless Krause proves to fail hard, or there were trial coins.
Here is a pic of the page (1331) from the 2006 Krause. I had to cut the bottom of one colume and paste it to the top of another but it clearly shows the 1923 was at least (thought) about. Take Care Ben
That IS interesting. I don't know if that really exists though but obviously from the price, it seems that it could be a trial coinage, or another Krause hiccup.
In my neverending quest to keep up with the Bonedigger,I bought this today. I gave up on the bust half dollar thing though, until I win the lottery.
I'm afraid you've gotten it backwards dear friend. I can't keep-up with you. Your coin archives and catacombs are extensive, probably go for miles under your home B
