Do you metal detector hunt for coins or rings?
Yes I am metal detector brand is WHITE'S M6 with 6x10 coil.

HEY I have good friend all over 50 state only white's metal detector. Very awesome news find rare coins. I live in Michigan. Who live in michigan real sometime awesome meet people group go detector and excellent trade learn like VDI.
HEY very recently about 1 month ago my friend live in california went detector found very BANNER 1860-s seated dime in EXTRA FINE!!!!!!
Also other man about 2 week ago found BUST HALF DOLLAR 1818 oh very BANNER.

I've beeen detecting for about 7 years now with a DFX and multiple coils. I'm usually on my own because there are not many other people into metal detecting it seems.

 

I have a Garrett and a White MXT but haven't used them for coin hunting yet.

 

If it is feasable we should try to get a metal detecting gettogether sometime after the weather begins to cooperate. This way we could meet face to face and help each other out. And also share some exciting stories. We could make it a nice picnic also.
I'm in Pennsylvania so if anyone else is near me we can try to work something out for either this spring and summer. Any comments for either for it or against it? Post your thought on here.

I found 2 old coins in my garden, I'm thinking about a metal detector locator. I'll post the coins if tou want to see them.

 

i have a minelab quattro that is mint only used a few times would sell and or trade but that's another story its in great shape also have allot of accessiories very simple to use

Well, I came across a shotgun shell and a dead horse one day. No joke.

 

I have only found rusted & corroded/pitted coins dated from the 1970's to present.

 

Got my first machine 43 years ago. It's a really fun hobby. White and Garrett make some great machines. Still looking for that first gold coin. Maybe someday.

 

I have had a simple tandy,s metal detector with a non-ferrous discriminator on it, works well on soil. but for the parts of the river thames where i look its no good as there is so much metal rubbish from ship braking scrap. i have found some very old things like pins, keys, but just one good coin, with a metal detector.

 

agreed, a lot of fun, and also still looking for that 1st gold coin.
