I'm just a child at heart and I love everyone regardless of what they say. You have to admit though that I usually liven things up. How could you all on here live without me. I may even join your other group .
Rascal, here is something you can do.. PM me the name of your source.. if its somebody that is as distinguished in the error world as you say, I am sure that I know them. PM me the name, I will call the individual and confirm and report back to this forum that I have verified your story.. I am sure that those here that know me would accept that.
That's the intro to Guns n' Roses "Civil War" (great song). I always wondered where that was from, thanks! =)
Jim I don't care if anyone believes me or not. All I have ever wrote on here was the God's honest truth unless I made a honest mistake and I have been called a liar so many times. If folks would stop goofing off and try to learn a few things then they would not need to ask so many questions. I think some of them does know a few things about error coins and are just trying to be funny. I wonder if any of this group will offer me a apoligy after they see I'm telling the truth? I honestly doubt it because I know this type people. It will end up being my photos was no good or some other excuse. they are never wrong in their own minds.
I have never called you a liar, but I assure you that if you can post that coin in an other than genuine/details slab, I will apologize.
Then why even bother on a public forum? You do care or you wouldn't have come back to start a thread with the words.. "i told you so" in the title.
"But, above all, anonymity, that shield of all literary rascality, would have to disappear. It was introduced under the pretext of protecting the honest critic, who warned the public, against the resentment of the author and his friends. But where there is one case of this sort, there will be a hundred where it merely serves to take all responsibility from the man who cannot stand by what he has said, or possibly to conceal the shame of one who has been cowardly and base enough to recommend a book to the public for the purpose of putting money into his own pocket. Often enough it is only a cloak for covering the obscurity, incompetence and insignificance of the critic. It is incredible what impudence these fellows will show, and what literary trickery they will venture to commit, as soon as they know they are safe under the shadow of anonymity." Arthur Schopenhauer
More from Arthur Schopenhauer (and yes, he wrote this in the 1800's), so he didn't know CT's Rascal or Rascal's coin or expert: "Let me recommend a general Anti-criticism, a universal medicine or panacea, to put a stop to all anonymous reviewing, whether it praises the bad or blames the good: Rascal! Your name! For a man to wrap himself up and draw his hat over his face, and then fall upon people who are walking about without any disguise–this is not the part of a gentleman, it is the part of a scoundrel and a knave. An anonymous review has no more authority than an anonymous letter; and one should be received with the same mistrust as the other. Or shall we take the name of the man who consents to preside over what is, in the strict sense of the word, une societe anonyme as a guarantee for the veracity of his colleagues?" I think the whole point of this is if someone is hiding on the net under his "dog's name", and shows a coin, declares it to be an error, and upon questioning by other persons as to the coin's veracity in being a real error, declares it to have been confirmed by a coin error expert who has more than 45 years of coin expert experience, but fails to provide that name, so the other people who believe the coin to not be an error can verify with that expert that the coin in question had been examined independently and confirmed, with that expert's reputation on the line for accuracy..... Then it seems like someone is presenting something which has "no more authority than an anonymous letter", and the warnings about people who hide in anonymity and provide no authority to back them up is to be either dismissed or held to question until it can be confirmed.
Somebody wrote that stuff back in the 1800's? Heck dang, he tagged this thread. Kasia, did he see any numbers (as in mega millions or lotto)?
This is only a coin we are discussing and this is total nonsense and lies . every one of you have been told numerous times who the coins were being sent to in both of my other threads. I have told you at least twice if you really want to know just go read the information I gave out earlier, there is even a link on this thread that DT menace put here for you. I'm not trying to hide anything , you folks just don't want to know the truth and you know why. I'm tired of telling the same information over and over . is this really a matter of life or death to some of you? you sure are acting like it is. folks we are only discussing a coin and if you don't want to participate then stop posting to this thread and give someone that may want to learn a chance to post on the thread. To Kasia, You have just received the first ever "like" I have ever sent. To Rascal, You Sir, have lost the remaining bit of respect I had held out for you. Your future posts will be held somewhere below the status of the "Ignore" post that I have been ignoring since August. I wish all at Coin Talk the very best for Christmas and a Happy New Year. Joe
Usually the children play in the other room so that the adults can have meaningful discussion without all the "game" playing.
