So I broke a few of rules I made for myself when it came to coins. #1 I was planning on going to the coin shop only once per week. Well I went twice this week :D and of course ended up buying more coins.

I was planning on getting toned coins only if it was graded. I wanted to save myself some headache in case the coins were AT. But after talking to the shop owner he told me he bought the collection from some guy that had these in Dansco albums. There are more toned coins and I might pick them up next time I go.

It says McClaren collection, but neither the store owner or I knew who McClaren is. Either way, I love the way the coin looks.

And lastly, just buying too many things at once.

Maybe I need to slow down? Luckily the owner has very fair prices and is a very nice guy. I got everything right around or below ebay prices.

The McClaren collection was more a hoard -of nicer grade Morgan $s, Peace, Mercury Dimes, and Walking Liberty halves. It was purchased by Legend Numismatics a few years ago. McClaren apparently doesn't have a first name :)

Awesome coins! Really like the McClaren $!

Apparently PCGS only goes by a last name basis. I wouldnt pay a premium for a hoard coin from an individual. Now I can see justifying paying more for a shipwreck piece, Atocha for example.
