    the date has slight doubling with a little ghost all to the right and the liberty has ghost to the left. what's up with that?
    Looks like a small crack in plating above Lincolns head.

    I would love to hear from some of the more veteran collectors on this one. Is what you have there a true dd or is it double struck or even machine doubling. I have never really had the differances explained to me. Either way looks like a very nice coin, one I would call a keeper. I think you are right about the flaw above Lincoln's head it does look like a plate issue. Really nice find!

    actually plate doubling.

    from the copper plate being shifted during the strike.
