A guy I know that works in retail had somebody pay with a series 1934 D $5 star note yesterday. It has a heavy lateral fold through the middle and is pretty limp. VF 20 at best. No tears or holes though. I thought it would be rare enough to just see a $5 silver cert spent let alone it being a star note. It had to come from somebody's collection. I'd guess it's worth 15 to 20 bucks. Sorry, don't have any pics.
