Just picked this up today at an auction. Please let me know what you think the grade might be. I scanned it at 1200 dpi to get in real close. The color on the coin is just reflection from my scanner. Not a great scanner.
thats a very nice morgan, a nice addition to any collection. just a thought, instead of a scanner since it didnt do too well, maybe use a camera?
wow. the camera i use is a olympus x-915 and it does wonders for pictures and was very inexspensive for its quality.
Here are some photos taken with my camera. Gives a better look at the coin in real light. Shows a little more of the true luster in the coin. Not as bad as I thought they'd be.
Nice Morgan and I wish I had good coin auctions to attend. Last time I went to my local coin auction, the auctioneer and his assistant were both bidding on the same coin. I have no problem with an assistant bidding on an item but when they both are bidding on the same coin, thats when I leave and never go back.
