To conclude the story I posted a few days back (http://www.cointalk.org/showthread.php?t=14978), I returned to the coin store early Sat. morning, and lo and behold, they had all four missing coins waiting for me! However, it turns out that they did fall out of my jacket as I was running to the car, but shortly thereafter, another patron of that same store was about to walk in when he noticed my coins all over the ground. So, being the good person that he was, he brought them in! The cardboard holders were all messed up of course, but I always replace them anyway, so that was no big deal. The two Indian cents weren't of too much concern to me, but I was really glad I didn't lose my flying eagle cent. And, of course, to celebrate, I bought my first Roman coin, haha. It's a silver denarius from the reign of Hadrian. Pretty good condition, too.
That is great news so now how about some pics of these famouse coins lOL including the Hadrian De Orc :thumb:
Def. gonna post some photos when I get the chance. I'm really enjoying the denarius. High-relief is so much nicer looking when compared to a "flat" coin .
WOW, now that is very cool. There are still threads of honesty and integrity in the fabric of society Bone
Congratulations! I'm glad to hear a happy ending to the story. Enjoy that denarius too. The ancients will get you hooked!
While we may talk a lot about the crooks out there in the coin field, in reality they are actually a tiny minority of the coin collector community.
