I got these from an acquaintance who said they got them while visiting Jerusalem. I believe they are made of copper. Other than that I do not know anything about them. old-coin1-obv2.jpg old-coin1-rev2.jpg old-coin2-obv2.jpg old-coin2-rev2.jpg

Top one is Constantius II bronze. The reverse is Fel Temp Reparatio, emperor spearing fallen horseman. Really nice shape.

Bottom I believe is Herod Agrippa, the grandson of Herod the Great. Minted around 41 AD. Also pretty nice shape for these.

Btw both of these were struck in bronze.

Thank you for the information. I am glad to know they are in good condition. Do you have a rough estimate on the mint date of the first coin?

I would be around 350-355 AD I imagine. Doug Smith of others into these issues can most likely give you an exact date. Same with the Judean, they have dates on them, but I cannot read them without my Hendin in front of me, so the date I gace you was approximate.

I am not an expert in either issues, more of an informed bystander, but there are experts in both of these here. If no one else answers in a couple of days, I can look them up in my references.

Thanks for the heads up. I am new and still figuring out the site. I'll do that and see what happens.
