i found this dime while looking through some change i had. is there anything special about it? or is it still a regular dime? the back looks perfectly fine and aligned, its just the front that is like this.
This is either a mis-aligned die, or an off center coin. Either way, it is'nt enough to increase it's value. If you post a pic of the reverse, we could come to a definitive conclusion.
oh. okay well i will get a reverse photo in a sec. and thats pretty cool that its worth somthing. i will keep coins now that look like this instead of chuckkin' em.
These coins only carry a premium when they are an extreme misalignment, defined as more than 5%, and even still it's only a .50c- 1.00.
I don't think that dime is off centered enough to carry a premium. But put it away. It's cool to have and it only cost you 10 cents.
If I told you it was worth face value, you would probably be disappointed. So with that said, it's value: $0.11
