1959 half dollar type III Coin World

    Hi
    The latest Coin Wolrd had pictures of the 1959 Double Die reverse half, but gave no indication as to value.
    Anyone know where the value is posted or how much they cost?

    Howdy duckbug - Welcome to the Forum !!

    There are 5 graded as MS64 listed in the Heritage auction records with the high being $46 and the low $28.

    So that's a $3-$21 premium for a DD.
    I would have to agree that that is one great deal of a coin which hasn't gotten much attention.

    You would think looking at the pictures in Coin World it would go for more than that.

    At least $100 or so in unc.
