I for one would love to see more Quarters - my consignment is going to be imaged within 10 days and posted here & @ PCGS on the BST ... Should have all the images by Christmas ... Stay tuned !! In the meantime, bring on all your images. I like all Barbers ( couldn't you guess ?? ) Btw - nice raw Half Dollar set - like it a lot !!!
The 1913 P I have in a slabbed AU, and a couple of others. I have to check. I really want that 1897 O, S and 1896 O, plus the 1905 O, S and a few others, but I have to check my slabs 1st. If anyone is interested, I'll post the slabs. By the way, the 1901 S is a very BAD fake, a recarved date. But I really like it is so bad that it couldn't fool Stevie Wonder.
Is this a proof Robec? Liberty's cameo is quite resilient on this piece. If not a proof, perhaps proof-like, at least! Stunning!
I already had a 14-S, but decided to pick this one up as an upgrade. I liked the color too much to let it go. The 07-S is a tough date so I grabbed this one quick. It's lighter in color, but still has decent eye appeal. Also, it's an S/S variety which isn't scarce, but still neat.
Just dropped the hammer on this one from Glenn. It's an upgrade to my current 15-D. Nothing major, but nice detail.
I picked up a consignment of Quarters for the FUN show and took some images on my iPhone - and I plan on taking a few more - but this week before Christmas is a crazy as it could be. Here is a small sampling. These coins will be at the FUN show - there are no presales - and no, I will not hold any coins. Sorry. There are sixteen coins at the photographer, Messydesk, that will not be at the show until late afternoon, Thursday - January 5th. Once I get these images, I will post them immediately. I have been on the phone three hours today discussing individual coins - and I'd be happy to discuss your want lists with the coins that are available on this consignment.
In my opinion AU58 is probably the best grade coins to collect so I am especially impressed with that group there Elb. I have seen so many '58s that look better then MS63 and under! Thanks for always sharing such beautiful coins with us
I picked up a consignment of 100 Barber Quarters - most in PCGS 55-58 - half are CAC'd... a few NGC 55's & 58's and a few net graded NCS & DGS graded coins. I'll attach the link to the BST at ATS ... so you can see what is available. The seller and I prefer the buyer see the coin in hand and make an immediate decision whether or not the coin is what they want and the price is agreeable. That is why there are no pre sales. I am not a dealer [ although I help one out quite a bit ] ... the seller is also just a collector and doesn't want the hastle of selling coins via the mail and having to deal with any returns. I can't say I blame him. I didn't want to go so far as list them on any BST or sell them directly to the public. That's why I used an auction house to sell off my three major Barber sets. Be that as it may, the coins will be available thru me at my friend's table [ Holsonbake Numismatics ] and if I can be of any further help, please feel free to ask. Here's the link - it contains all the images... http://forums.collectors.com/messageview.cfm?catid=7&threadid=839575 PS - See you at FUN !!!
Seems as though I forgot I threw in a low bid on this coin on Teletrade and forgot about it - well... it wasn't low enough I guess - as I won yet another duplicate !!
Justin, Really nice 1915-P - I didn't see that one in Glenn's case. If I had noticed it ...hmmm. LOL - glad you got it - its a super looking coin. Mike
