    Hey guys,

I found this 1928 Buffalo Nickel and there seems to be a circular strike through the words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and then it seems to clip off what would've been the tail. Please let me know if you've seen this before, or if it might be a fake?

If it is a true error coin is it best to have it graded? I currently have a box of mercury dimes, buffalo nickels and Indian head pennies. I don't know if I should grade them or sell them raw.

Check out the pics and you be the judge. Buffalo Nickel 1928 2.jpg buffalo nickel 1928.jpg buffalo nickel 1928 3.jpg

(Apologies to rascal in advance.) That is PMD. Possibly a coin rolling machine or crimper caused the damage.
