Hi, I just joined this site and collecting, so be gentle. I have been really interested in JM fractional bars, and I was recently able to get a 2.5 gram gold bar in assay card on ebay for a bit higher than spot. Yesterday, I saw a bunch of JM gold bars now listed on ebay, but they are just sealed in plastic. There are a few 2.5 gram bars, a 1 gram bar, and a 5 gram. The bars look like they were separated along the perforated lines from a factory lot. However, I have only seen this sort of packaging on fractional silver JM bars. Does anyone know if these gold bars are valuable (or, should I say, collectable)? The seller says they are in original seal, but I wanted to seek other opinions. The serial numbers are also interesting: They start with "B" and then just 3 digits. Are these older JM gold bars? I heard the 1 gram ones are rare. Thanks!
