    Hey friends, I'm thinking about starting to sell again on the bay and I was wondering how many of y'all use this verified badge? If so where do you place it at on your profile page? I remember PayPal saying something about it but I've never used it before and I'm in the thinking stage on whether I will or not. Any idea or info would be appreciated! :thumb:

    I've never used it. Don't recall seeing it lately.

    Isn't everybody on Ebay verified?

    No, but I am not sure if that means some are still grandfathered in or that they can still join unverified.

    All the sellers who accept Paypal are.

    You can't upgrade your Paypal account to receive payments without verifying your identity.

    Honestly I think this badge is a moot point. The listing already states if you accept Paypal right under your eBay handle and item location portion.

    One thing I did learn, was that after a long hiatus, you start over. It's just like opening a new account. There is no "history", so you lose your good seller's rating. Sometimes people just don't want to buy from a "newbie". I ended up selling quite a few things for the opening bid. I hope you have better luck getting re-established.

    Same here. I recently got married and created a new account to for the wife and I. She is selling her star wars stuff and of course I'm selling coins. It really stinks cause they totally killed my selling limits and now I have to wait 90 days to receive my payments without a hold. Also, my items are not selling as well as they should. But so much time and effort has been devoted to this account there really isn't no turning back now. I am looking forward to my 90 days being up!

    question about Paypal Verified...When I use PP, any charges from PP, it will go straight to my credit card. i am coming up on the limit of being "univerified" and must become verified in order to keep using PP. Is there a way I can use PP w/o giving my Bank account info? I like the fact that PP charges my CC vice taking it out of my bank account. ty!

    You can add the bank account and then set your credit card as your primary payment method.

    I have my PP with a bank account and 2 CC's. At the moment, my preferred payment is my MC card. Every charge I make goes directly to my MC card unless I decide to change it. And I can change which I want to use for each and every transaction as I so desire individually or in mass.

    I've scoured every PayPal page I can get to, and as far as I can tell, THERE IS NO WAY to configure my PayPal payments to go to a CC before the bank account. If you can find a way to do it, I'd love to know about it -- I've missed out on Buy It Now deals because of the extra time it takes to select a CC.

    In fact, here's a PayPal representative confirming that you CAN'T set up your account to bill to a credit card before your bank account:

    So, if you do know a way to accomplish this, please post detailed instructions. We, and apparently PayPal, would like very much to see them.

    Directly from your reference;
    I do not know about using other card, but I have had no problems using my PayPal MC.

    You know Jeff, I went back and tried to do it, but the option is no longer available. When I had first set it up that way a few years ago there was a box on the "edit credit card" page that let you select it as the primary payment method.
    It's no longer there, and the layout under the "profile" tab is different.

    I guess you would have to change the method to credit card each time you pay for something.
