I was going through some of the stuff I got from dad. There were a lot of medals, tokens, and other things like that. I thought I would share some of the local Michigan stuff. Anyone else have some neat local items they would like to share?
Those are pretty cool! I was born and raised in Alpena, MI and got my BA and Masters at Michigan, but am currently in SW Ohio. I really miss being so close to any Great Lake.
I don't have any but would love to own anyone of these http://tokencatalog.com/display_rec...y=&SubmitFilter=SearchClear&view=All Listings especially any of the Belding tokens, thats where I was born and raised
Oh nice! I had many a great times in "the ghetto" (student houses) at UofD, as far as I can remember. I think a lot has changed since then. St Paddy's day was nothing but a 3 day riot with burning couches and getting hit with a baton from a cop on a horse. :dead-horse:
Meechigun, humph...... so you win a football game once every 8 years and now you're all that and a baga chips huh?:rollling::smile Nice medals, I like the Romney one. Looks like a Medalic Art Company piece? Here's one of mine.
man now i dont feel so far away haha im studying at UC in Cincinnati im from Columbus had to escape all the buckeye fever.... GO BEARCATS!!!
Thanks. I do have some good memories of your state. I used to go salmon fishing on the Betsy River back in the late eighties and early nineties. I saved this souviner from one of those trips.
You know Dan, you didn't get to experience the amazing things MI has to offer. Especially in the summer. I feel bad for anybody who doesn't live 5 minutes from a big beautiful lake.
I know. I did get to see some of the lakes but it was always way windy and I got demolished by sand. Now the biggest body of water I live by is a creek
I live 6 houses off the water near here. Each year we try and break the world record for most boats tied up togethor. It's so much fun I can't stand it.
