I have been playing with a few Morgans myself - and I'm trying to put together a set of CC Minted coins. These were recently picked up and I consider them
NEWPS; I am missing the key dates, but what I do have are very pleasing... at least I think so...


















I have one other [ 1891-CC PCGS MS 63 DMPL ] that has no image,
as I bought it at a Sarasota Coin Show a few weeks back.
Once this one is imaged professionally, as well as the others
[ seller's images are above ]. I will edit this post.

This followed me home from the Fall MSNS show last weekend. At 65mm x 87mm it is the smaller version of those seen more commonly.

 

Nice piece penny guy. It's got the "look."

 

I just got this TrueView photo back from PCGS. This was a $12 bargain coin that I took a gamble on and bought raw off ebay a few weeks ago. PCGS graded it PR64RB the first time (psew!). Such great color on this monster. It's funny that I spent so much more than the coin cost itself by putting it through the PCGS Secure Plus service and having a TrueView photo made. There is something backwards about that!

In any case Robec came up with a name for this: "Lincoln Sunset" Proof. The obverse has a great cameo appearance of glossy gold devices on a pink-red field -- and the reverse has that intense red fading to a cool blue-green color at the top, it really does remind me of the colors in a fiery sunset.

 

Here's a new (to me) 1830 large 0 CBH that arrived today. I bought it from a CU forum member.

It seems certain it was dipped at one time but thankfully it did not impair the luster and has since acquired a little pretty album toning. Nice strike and terrific eye appeal. Just the slightest rub keeps it out of MS territory.

I just got this VF25 flying cent. not worth a lot but i like it.

 

It looks like "Ike" has become my nickname. I don't mind it either. Eisenhower was a hero of mine. But for the record my forum name is LKEIGWIN (first initial, last name).
