    Hi guys-

I bought this buffalo in and old PCGS rattler slab on ebay about 10-12 years ago. When I type in the ID number on the PCGS website, it does not come up as a buffalo nickel, but as something else. There is some problem, and I assume it's with PCGS since the coin seems genuine and properly graded, and is not worth very much (why alter a slab for this coin?)

I emailed PCGS and they asked for a scan. I sent it in, got no response, sent it in again...same, no response. I plan to sell it...any advice?

Show me a picture of the reverse. It might be a fake slab from back in '88.

    The slab is genuine.

Give it a week or so. They will fix it.
