BEP reported that the 2009 $100 have been incorrectly listed in their monthly production reports for the past 10 months. According to them none have been printed since then only 'processed'. So why were the SN's listed sequential, ie new? And what other denominations have report errors? Is this the reason why no 2006 FW $100s have been seen? Anyone have any other insights? http://www.coinworld.com/articles/bep-production-reports-in-error-on-2009-100s/
September and October reports aren't out at all. Are there issues with other denominations, or the BEP simply preoccupied with the $100s mess? I haven't seen many 2006A's, so I can't say whether any are FW's misreported as DC's. When I toured the DC BEP on July 25th, 2006A $100s were in the overprinting/cutting/packaging steps, so at least some were printed in DC. (they were working on 2009 $20s in the earlier steps of the process)
The $100 2006 FW I was referring to were the ones listed as printed between Feb 07 to Feb 08. http://www.uspapermoney.info/serials/f2006_h.html I have yet to see any. The errors in the BEP reports are significant and brings all denominations and monthly reports in question unless blocks and SNs are physically verified.
I figured the BEP report problems were a recent enough issue that your comment was a typo of 2006A. my bad. I don't think the current report problems would go that far back. maybe a coincidence that you're thinking of that (potential) mistake now. I don't see many $100s of other series either.
