Hello there. Here is my first post and I'm afraid this is a stupid question. This old nickle is in bad shape, and I don't believe it's worth anything. However, it has a blemish that I'm curious about. It has a raised bump right behind Jefferson's ear. The flaw seems to go through the coin, as it appears as a blob in the exact spot on back. Both are quite worn from circulation. I'm curious as to the terminology describing this flaw and whether or not it is common. Thanks in advance, Roxanne http://s44.photobucket.com/albums/f2/roxannepalmrose/?action=view¤t=Nickle-Front.jpg http://s44.photobucket.com/albums/f2/roxannepalmrose/?action=view¤t=Nickle-Back.jpg
Welcome!!! First of all, those are great pictures!! I also think that it is post mint damage. And it's never stupid to ask a question
Thanks Ahh, hadn't thought of solder. Thanks all for your quick response. Hopefully, I'll be back soon with something good.
