I'm up near SouthBend a few times a year to see my grandma and grandpa but we always are driving back on SAT....is the show ever on FRI?? Speedy
You know, the Chinese are in the early planning stages of their own moon missions. Perhaps OldDan show start planning for visiting a show again.
Hey Uncle Herbie. If you mean South Bend Indiana, you may want to look into the Countryside show in Illinois. It is about 60 hundred south just off Manhiem Road. Just South of the Town of LaGrange. It may be a little far but they have it on the Second Sunday of every Month. Usually about 60 to 80 dealers. There was one there last year with about 120 dealers. Great prices from a few of them. Clean washrooms, expensive food, horrible coffee, free entry to the show, free parking and lots of it, always free magazines and brochures on the front table, lots of aisle space.
Speedy>>I don't think they have the South Bend show on fridays, I'm pretty sure it's always on a Saturday. It starts at 10 AM, so if you don't leave too early you might be able to catch it. I don't really have anything to compare it too since its the only show I've ever been to but its a lot of fun. They have it every month so just google a schedule when you're up here and if you need directions let me know. South Bend is actually pretty easy to get around in and the show is pobably only about fifteen minutes from Notre Dame. Carl>> I've heard of that Countryside show before. I'd like to get there sometime or other, I've even done the mapquest thing. One of these days...........
Yep....I don't know if I can every catch it or not.....I know right where South Bend is because I go through it most of the time....maybe sometime soon I can....it would be great to meet ya'll Speedy
The ampquest direcs are good, but the street address isn't on the building (at least i didn't see it when i went). The building is on the south side of the street and the parking lot is on the south side of the building, so drive around back to park and enter. It's a good show, but be there early as it shuts down before the scheduled end time and the pickins get mighty slim.
Anytime you get up this way and you've got the time let me know, I'd be glad to talk coins with you. Well, you can talk, I'll listen. heheh Thanks for the tip Cave Troll. It's always a hassle to find out that kind of info at the end of a trip. I kinda found out about getting there early yesterday. I got to that show about 1:30 and it was advertised as ending at 4:00 but after about an hour the dealers started packing up. The junk boxes didn't seem to have nearly as many interesting things in them either. Still managed to spend most of my money though.
