1825 Cent Help

    Still waiting on my middle dates book and I can't find this one on any of my other resource options. The first thing I noticed is the center dot on reverse between ONE and CENT. This isn't something I see on many large cents so thats the best diagnostic I have for this other than some bad pics.

    Off the top of my head, I cannot attribute it. However, the dot you reference (e.g. a "compass mark") is not uncommon on coronet large cents in the mid 1820's. Here's an 1824 and 1826 to compare to:

    N-7 R2 The leaf under F extends well beyond F.
