Hi, I'm brand new to coin collecting and cointalk.

I recently inherited my Father's coin collection, and I am a bank teller so occasionally customers bring something interesting in.

I had a customer drop off a roll of uncirculated bicentennial quarters, is it worth anything more than the ten dollar face value?

    Thanks!

If you like them and find them interesting, keep them! That's the great thing about this hobby, you get to choose which coins to collect, and which ones you don't want.

As for the value, if don't think that they'd be worth much more than $10 if anything over face value. It's only $10 worth, so I'd suggest you keep them. If at any point in time you need the money, you can go ahead and cash them in then.

Wish we had bigger news for you, but like what the others pointed out, it's relatively common quarters that don't command much more than face value. Keep them though, they probably mean more sentimentally than actual value.

I believe these will still bring $14 wholesale but there probably aren't any active buyers now. If the are Denvers be sure to check the top of the "RTY" for the DDO. These bring upward of $1500 in unc. I'd check them for gems and spend any that aren't gem or a variety.

The combined to struck by both Philadelphia and Denver mints was 1,669,902,855, as the Mint began striking these in 1975.

Very common, and not worth much more than face.

You might be able to get about $12-$14 a roll if they are in high uncirculated condition.
