I just went to my closest coin shop, which is once in a blue moon, which is 25 miles away. I went with $9 mostly to buy 2x2s and supplies. I went through their Lincoln Wheat Cent bin bought a few at $0.05 each, bought some mercury dimes, and in my change they gave me a proof 1995 (birth year) penny and a proof quarter. I just gotta love those seeders. And in the Lincoln cents I found a treasure. A 1909 no VDB :hail:. It is in great shape. Pics to come of my findings soon Got so excited I forgot to buy 2x2 pages. oh well. guess I'll wait until the December. Gotta love that trip. Well worth the supplies run and forgetting the supplies.
congrats on the great finds! id say the 09 looks to be atleast vf-30 although it is hard to tell from the pics.. lol im new to guessing the grade off of pics
I just found out that where I go every Sunday is only five minutes from my coin shop, which is normally 45 minutes away! Will be visiting much more often now
Haha! Luckily I caught that detail! Sad that yours is so far. I know what it is like to commute a long way, and I have to ride with my dad because I don't have my license yet.
I have only bought from him once, but visited a few times, he let me visit his basement room/vault, it was a tiny room so crowded with coins you couldn't move around! What I bought was a high price but a very well struck 1986 S proof ASE. He is at 41w 47th street.
I am still an amateur at the photo capturing, but the program is Photoscape, free and easy. Here is a thread to download and use photoscape http://www.cointalk.com/t175157/
