Found L&C through PCGS website. They seem to have fair prices and low shipping charges. Your opinions? Thanks.
i was buying raw coins at one time. sent in a 1909-p to get graded. didn't really look at it close since it was a ms63 according l and c. came back au58 cleaned and retoned!!! i still have purchased coins from them, but only if they are already graded.
Bought a group of 10 Morgans "MS-63" about 3 months back. Had 2 graded - 1902-O came back as MS64, 1888-S came back as "genuine - cleaned".
I have never purchased from them. I have looked but have always found same coins cheaper elsewhere, especially for varieties. TC
I have purchased a few moderns from them in the past at fair prices. Some of the collectors coins I have priced on their site and like TC mentioned I can beat their prices usually with other dealers. Not knocking them or their prices, but I comparison shop all the time.
I won an eBay auction from L&C for a matte Kennedy half. First coin was definitely low end for the grade (69), so I sent it back for another one, which was solid for the grade. No problems with the return and the replacement was shipped promptly. They keep sending me their catalog every few months. The catalog coins seem to be priced rather high, at least to me.
L&C Coins has fair prices and excellent service. Many times I use their price list as a reliable source as to what market value really is.
