Lucky catch

So Im in front of my computer going thru some coins . I was about to take a look at this 1962 proof quarter that I picked up at a flea market over the weekend. I took out 1 of the side staples from the flip, put on a nice new pair of cotton gloves and started to drop it out onto my palm. Well I must of had the tiniest spread inbetween my fingers 'cause that sucker just slide right thru like butter. As I fumbled to catch it before it came crashing to my hardwood floor I kicked my coin shoebox just so slightly. In the same instant missed the quarter completly- Mind you this was all in a split second but it was like slow motion for me.

Check out the pictures to see where it actually landed ! Right in this little slot on the side of the box ! Saving my little friend from getting a nice nick for sure. I just wanted to share I thought it was kinda cool.

Any one else have any weird close calls before?

I too would like to see you do that again. Sort of like flipping a coin and it landing on it's edge.
